The Journey Journal is designed in the spirit of The Hero's Journey. According to the infamous Mythologist, Joseph Campbell, The Hero's Journey is a universal pattern that is the essence of, and common to, heroic tales in every culture.
“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself,” according to Campbell's definition. Anyone can become a hero—on purpose or even accidentally. But it involves a painful evolution that is a prerequisite to greatness. - Joseph Campbell
The quest to find meaning takes courage. According to Mythologist, Joseph Campbell, "The Cave You Dear to Enter Holds the Treasure You Seek." For our purposes, the "CAVE" represents your psyche - your unconscious. Each chapter of the Journey Journal will help you develop skills and discover hidden influences on your thoughts feelings and behaviors.

Who do you look up to? Someone from literature, the movies or real-life? What is it about that person that makes your relationship work? What qualities do they possess that attracts you?
We will also examine the people, as well as the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that keep you from actualizing and achieving post-trauma growth.
We will come to understand the power of symbols, metaphors & synchronicity, dreams and more.
